 Wow - these really work March 2, 2010

I was able to keep a head of lettuce in one of these containers for three weeks with only a tiny bit of brown tinging at the edges - quite a bit longer than the usual. Definitely worth the money in savings on produce spoilage.

Tlhis is Great Stuff. Now I keep my lettuce for up to two weeks instead of having to throw it away after only a few days. --- I think the secret is in the air circulation.
Anyhow i'm really glad that someone finally came up with this excellent time , money and vegetable saver. You'll really love it.

I haven't performed any scientific "control group" type of study, but I can tell you that I stored rasberries, onions, and grape tomatoes in these containers and they have definitely remained fresher and crisper for a significant time longer than in normal containers. If you look at the containers, they have two little air vent on the sides of each lid and this allow air to circulate through the container. In addition, there is that little plastic great that is custom fit for the bottom of each container and that allows the small amount of outside air allowed in the container from those small vents on top to circulate under the food. It's actually somewhat amazing that it has taken this long for storage companies to figure this out, but at the same time, I don't think many people own these containers. They are definitely more expensive than normal run-of-the-mill containers, but when you look at the increasing costs of fresh fruits and vegetables, they are definitely worth the small price increase per container.
Some additional things you may find important:
o BPA Free
o Lids are "Easy Find" and will attach to bottom of container
o This set is graduated in size and smaller containers will nest in larger ones
o Microwave, Freezer, and Dishwasher safe (remember that they are BPA free so high temperatures in the dishwasher and microwave will not result in BPA contaminating your food)
All-in-all, I would highly recommend these containers. And to put my money where my mouth is, I just ordered a second set.

I really appreciate this product. I normally just buy electronics, movies and games at Amazon, but this is an exception. I wouldn't even be doing a review if not for my fondness of these containers. We've had lots of containers, and no other such container can do what this one does. We've been using these for a couple of years and its been great. I also brought it out of the country and works great as well! Have used it for cherries, mangoes, grapes, oranges, others. It will really extend the expected life of your produce/fruits by at least a week by my estimates, lots of times even more! I'm buying a bunch more for sure.

I microwaved some shrimp pickle in one of the containers and it melted a portion of it. Definitely not what I was hoping for or expecting. Otherwise they work well as storage containers.
