Broken lids upon arrival March 6, 2010 Kindleless in Seattle (Seattle, WA USA) While the vendor promptly shipped this product, it arrived with two of the lids already cracked and broken.
I would not buy this product. Upon further investigation with friends, I am trying the Pyrex products with the blue
lids.
Grease does not wash off easily March 5, 2010 Star (Powell, OH United States) I love the sizes and the way they seal, however, not like most of the glassware such as Pyrex, you can easily hand wash clean. These glasslock containers can get really greasy even for light stir-fry dishes, to wash by hand is a real chore, even dish wash detergent applied, they can be still somewhat greasy. Those containers are more like plastic in terms of the way they attract grease. So I have to put them in dishwasher after each use, that is not what I intended to do with glass containers.
I wouldn't recommend February 27, 2010 Marlo (Humboldt, CA) I got these Glasslock containers on recommendations from friends. They are of good quality with heavy glass and are leak proof, but had I not destroyed the packaging, I would have returned them.
The containers are small and shallow. If I have something large like an avocado or a tomato, I have to cut the food up into little pieces, or divide them into separate containers, or use the largest container to fit the food.
This may sound petty, but I don't have a dishwasher, and hand washing four corners is a hassle compared to washing round bowls.
The most annoying fact is that these containers don't stack, so they take up a lot of room on the shelf.
I wouldn't recommend these, but gave them 3 stars for the quality.
Excellent - Air Tight - Glass - Well Sized February 27, 2010 ShyGuyCalif (New York, United States) We bought this from another place. We are extremely pleased with this.
We did not want to keep food for us and our child in plastic. We choose this after much research. We did not want to buy any good plastic boxes (which are cheaper) because it is still plastic. We liked in this was the boxes are sized extremely well. There are no useless tall boxes since we use most of these boxes for cooked food. These stack well in refrigerator.
We are using these to carry lunch to office and our child uses this for her school. Many people have asked us where we got these. I can understand since it took us long to find these ourselves.
All in all a very good choice. May buy another set soon.
Great Utility February 24, 2010 The Furious One These work great for taking lunch to work or for storing leftovers or prep for meals or whatever. The only problem I've had is that I just microwaved a container of soup and now the temperature difference has sucked the lid into the container and I can't get it off! Been about a half hour so far, hopefully I'll be able to remove it once the food cools. One other reviewer mentioned that their lid was warped in this manner.
