| Customer Reviews: Nice! February 10, 2010 Abbie Brown (Greenville, NC) Exactly as described: this is a very nice dish rack. I've been using it for about a month and it seems to wear well (though the finish on the bamboo portion is coming off a bit).
Perfect, just what I needed! January 21, 2010 Jayne After moving from a house to an apartment, space became a very real issue. I had a very nice dish rack but it took up most of the counter and there was nowhere to store it when not in use. Since I have a dual sink, this fit in one sink while I wash in the other. If I have a lot of dishes to do, I can put this dish rack on the counter next to the sink and attach a little drainage piece to ensure the water drains correctly. When not in use, I can just leave it in the sink since it looks just fine there.
I would recommend this to anyone.
Nice dish rack but not good for hard water January 10, 2010 suzycb (SF Bay Area) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have an older version of this rack. I love the size. It's a great space save since I don't have a lot of counter space. I see this version is an improvement over mine. Now includes a metal drain spout and the silverware holder has been expanded on one side and covered by the bamboo knife holder (curious how that will work as not sure the depth is long enough for large knives).
The main issue I have is the platic tray eventually gets extremely stained if you have hard water. I try to clean it regularly but right now it's so stained I want to replace it. I've decided against purchasing this one again because of the plastic tray. For an insink dishrack, seems like 100% stainless steel would be a better option, particularly for hard water issues. Or maybe the plastic could have better coating so that removing hard water stains would be easier. If it weren't for the plastic tray, I'd purchase this dish rack again.
Very good December 29, 2009 R. K. McSwain (Houston) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So far no rust and it does it's job. Yea, it's $40, but you will spend that much on the next two "chrome" and/or "plastic coated" ones that you buy that will rust and/or break. This is the real deal.
A thing of Beauty September 12, 2009 counterrev (Eustace, Texas) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I don't like modern design. I DO like some Art Deco---this makes me remember why I like it. This is my own little piece of kitchen counter art. Not the least beautiful thing about it is the fact that it works beautifully. My oversized plates, which won't fit in the dishwasher, are securely held until they are dry---likewise my baking sheets and anything else I need to do by hand. The reason I ordered this little gem is because of the built-in bamboo knife-slot piece which holds my Shuns until I can put them back in the block. Oh! and the excellent little chrome spout which ACTUALLY routes the water back into the sink--it really works...and when it's not in use, it's small and lovely. LOOK at it. I'm very happy with this purchase. Oh! It's not at all difficult to clean, either.
